Two Philippine destinations have secured spots in the 2026 edition of the World’s 50 Best Beaches, with one taking the top ranking and drawing renewed attention to the country’s unspoiled coastal landscapes.
Topping the list is Entalula Beach, described by evaluators as a “slice of heaven” set apart by dramatic limestone cliffs rising behind a stretch of fine white sand.
The beach located in El Nido, Palawan, has relatively low visitor numbers compared to nearby hotspots contribute to its tranquil atmosphere, while its clear, calm waters make it ideal for swimming. Accessible only by boat, Entalula has retained a natural, uncrowded character that experts say sets it apart globally.
Also recognized is Kalanggaman Island, which placed No. 25 on the list. Known for its distinctive narrow sandbar stretching into open waters on both ends, the island offers sweeping ocean views and shallow, clear waters along its shores.
Limited infrastructure and controlled visitor access have helped preserve its undisturbed setting, maintaining the island’s appeal as a quiet retreat.
The rankings were compiled by a network of travel experts, ambassadors, and industry professionals who assessed beaches worldwide based on criteria including natural beauty, uniqueness and overall experience.
Tourism observers say the inclusion of both destinations reinforces the reputation of the Philippines as a leading beach destination, particularly for travelers seeking less commercialized environments.
The recognition is expected to further boost interest in remote and conservation-focused travel across the country’s islands.
