The Philippine Army is fully prepared to secure the first parliamentary election in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), according to Army Spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-Ala.

In an exclusive interview on DZRH Stories: Pinoy Documentaries, Dema-Ala said Army personnel have been deployed to strategic areas to ensure a safe and orderly election and protect voters exercising their right to vote.

“Yes. Sa ngayon, all systems go na tayo,” he said.

He said the military is monitoring possible security threats, including peace spoilers, local terrorist groups, and potential commotions at polling centers, while working closely with the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Dema-Ala also said the Army has yet to record any election-related incident and will continue security operations and checkpoints to help enforce the gun ban. The troops deployed in BARMM will maintain their presence throughout the election period until the end of September.

“Lahat naman ang possible groups, lalo lalo na yung mga local terrorist groups, binabantayan natin yan.”
