The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, better known as PhilHealth, announced on Tuesday the implementation of a one-time waiver for premium penalties from past-due premium payments charged to employers and self-paying members.
“Bilang agarang tulong, kasalukuyan nang ipatutupad ang one-time waiver ng premium penalties para sa mga past-due premiums ng mga employer at self-paying members,” PhilHealth said in a statement.
Direct contributors were urged to avail themselves of the penalty condonation scheme to ease their financial burden.
At present, the health insurance company is coordinating with economic managers and awaiting orders from the Palace for additional measures.
The company assured that regardless of their future decisions, they will adhere to the law and ensure the reliability of their services.
