The Philippines will host the 15th East Asia Baseball Cup from Dec. 7 to 13 at the historic Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium in Manila, the Philippine Amateur Baseball Association (PABA) announced Thursday.

Six nations are expected to compete in the regional tournament, with teams vying for the championship title and a place on the road to the Asian Baseball Championship.

The PABA said the weeklong competition will bring together some of East Asia’s top baseball teams, highlighting the region’s shared passion for the sport.

The tournament is presented by the Philippine Sports Commission, organized by the PABA and sanctioned by the Baseball Federation of Asia.

The Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium, one of the country’s historic sporting venues, will serve as the host venue for the competition.
