Actor-restaurateur Marvin Agustin, whose restaurant ‘Cochi’ received a Bib Gourmand award, expressed heartfelt gratitude to his team and patrons.
“This honor belongs to every person who has poured their heart into this home we built,” Agustin said in an online post.
“To our guests—thank you for believing in us, for celebrating with us, for coming home to Cochi again and again. This is not the destination. This is a reminder to keep cooking with soul,” he added.
One of the most inspiring recognitions went to Morning Sun Eatery, a humble karinderya celebrated for its classic Ilocano dishes.
Established in 1996, the homegrown eatery earned a Bib Gourmand distinction, proving that heartfelt cooking and authenticity can shine just as brightly as fine dining.
With 74 additional restaurants listed under the MICHELIN Selected category, the debut of the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Philippines signals a new chapter for Filipino cuisine—one that celebrates both innovation and heritage, from elegant tasting menus to cherished home-style fare.
