Apple Pay is now officially available in the Philippines, allowing users to make secure, contactless payments using their iPhone or Apple Watch at supported terminals locally and abroad.

As of August 4, 2026, several major banks in the country have rolled out support for the mobile payment service. These include UnionBank, Metrobank, and Chinabank, all of which accept eligible Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards. GoTyme Bank also supports Apple Pay for its Visa debit cards.

With Apple Pay, users can load their cards onto their devices and pay by simply tapping at contactless-enabled terminals. The feature eliminates the need to carry physical cards, offering a more convenient and streamlined payment experience.

The service works across a wide range of merchants that accept contactless payments, both in the Philippines and internationally. Transactions are authenticated through Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode, adding an extra layer of security.

Apple Pay’s entry into the Philippine market reflects the growing adoption of digital wallets and cashless payments in the country, driven by increasing smartphone use and demand for faster, more secure financial transactions.

More banks and card issuers are expected to support the service in the coming months as digital payment infrastructure continues to expand nationwide.
