The country’s total fuel inventory slightly declined to 50.70 days as of May 8, down from 53.71 days recorded on May 1, 2026, the Department of Energy (DOE) said.

In a report by RH Jecelle Ricafort on DZRH’s Operation Tulong, Energy Secretary Sharon Garin said fuel stocks remain at comfortable levels across major petroleum products despite a slight week-on-week decline.

Based on the latest data, gasoline supply is projected to last more than 53 days, diesel for 48 days, and kerosene for 165 days. Jet fuel inventory is sufficient for 73 days, while fuel oil can last 56 days. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supply, meanwhile, is estimated at 35 days.

Garin said the country’s oil supply has remained stable since the outbreak of the conflict in the Middle East, noting coordinated efforts between government agencies and the private sector to maintain sufficient stock levels.

“We have had steady supply since the start of the Middle East conflict. So much effort, hardwork, and dedication was invested in this by so many people in the government and private sector,” Garin said in a Facebook post on Monday, May 11.

She added that the stability of supply reflects the combined response of both sectors amid global uncertainties.

Despite the relatively comfortable inventory levels, Garin urged the public to continue practicing fuel and energy conservation measures.

“But despite this level of comfort, let’s continue fuel and energy saving habits. A liter less of diesel we consume or one light less we turn on is truly a building block for a more energy resilient and sovereign nation,” she said.
