The Philippine Educational Theater Association’s (PETA) “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 4: Oh Sh*t! It’s Live sa Cheter!” earned 13 citations at the Philstage Gawad Buhay Awards, recognizing its cast, creative team and production crew.

The theater company announced the recognitions in a social media post, thanking Philstage and Gawad Buhay for honoring the production’s work.

The satirical stage comedy received citations in several categories, including outstanding original script for Chris Martinez, outstanding choreography for Raflesia Bravo, and outstanding costume and set design for Gino Gonzales.

Other technical awards went to Barbie Tan-Tiongco for lighting design, Angel Dayao for sound design, and Bene Manaois for projection and video design.

The production also received acting and performance honors, including female lead performance in a play for Eugene Domingo and female featured performance in a play for Stella Cañete-Mendoza.

Andoy Ranay, Marlon Rivera and JC Santos were cited for male featured performance in a play. The ensemble was also recognized for outstanding ensemble performance.

Director Maribel Legarda earned the citation for outstanding stage direction, while the production won outstanding play in the original or translation/adaptation category.

The fourth installment of the “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” franchise stars Domingo as a fictionalized version of herself in a play-within-a-play that pokes fun at the egos, ticket prices and production challenges of Philippine theater.

Written by Martinez and Rivera and directed by Legarda, the production incorporated a satirical take on Aurelio Tolentino’s classic play “Kahapon, Ngayon at Bukas.”

It ran from June 19 to Aug. 16, 2026, at the PETA Theater Center in Quezon City.
