Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Claire Castro remains the Palace Press Officer, confirmed PCO Acting Secretary Dave Gomez on Wednesday.

Gomez told reporters she was “doing a fine job” as press officer.

As stated in the Special Order No. 25-174 signed by Gomez on Tuesday, Castro handles the coordination and delivery of official media briefings for the PCO and Office of the President.

She submitted her courtesy resignation two weeks ago, in compliance with Gomez’s order for all PCO officials to do so. Gomez has not disclosed how many courtesy resignations have been accepted.
