

Working dogs of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) helped recover the remains of a landslide victim in Glan, Sarangani province on June 18.
According to the PCG, the Coast Guard Working Dogs “Thalia” and “Siri” located the victim in Barangay Congan during search and retrieval operations conducted after a landslide in the area.
The remains were immediately turned over to the proper authorities following recovery.
The operation was carried out in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
In a statement, the PCG said it continues to strengthen the training of its working dogs to improve disaster response capabilities and ensure faster and more reliable assistance during emergencies.
