The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) successfully rescued four fishermen from a distressed fishing boat, FBCA John Vincent, near the waters of Mariveles, Bataan on October 15, 2025.

According to the PCG, BRP Boracay (FPB-2401) was deployed to conduct search and rescue (SAR) operations upon receiving a directive at 11:11 PM on October 14. The vessel arrived in the area around 3:10 AM and began the search.

At approximately 4:10 AM, the Coast Guard located FBCA John Vincent, which had reportedly been adrift since October 12 due to a defective alternator. One crew member remained aboard the fishing banca after being assessed to be in stable condition, while three others were brought to BRP Boracay for medical evaluation and assistance.

All rescued fishermen were found to be in good health, with only one sustaining a minor scratch. They were given food, water, and mental health support before being safely towed back to Mariveles Harbor at 10:28 AM.

The PCG emphasized that the successful operation reflects its commitment to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure maritime safety through swift and compassionate service.
