Technical divers from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) recovered four additional cadavers on Tuesday, February 17, during underwater operations related to the sinking of M/V Trisha Kerstin 3, raising the confirmed death toll to 62.

Authorities reported that 293 individuals have survived the maritime incident, while 17 remain missing. Search, retrieval, and identification efforts continue as part of the ongoing maritime response operations.

The PCG clarified that casualty figures are based on consolidated and validated data through joint coordination with the Philippine National Police–Scene of the Crime Operatives (PNP-SOCO), the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao, along with affected families who maintain daily coordination with authorities.

The Coast Guard assured the public that interagency search and rescue teams remain committed to locating the remaining missing passengers and providing assistance to the victims’ families.
