The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) recognized DZRH during its 125th founding anniversary celebration on Monday for the radio station’s support in disseminating accurate information about the agency’s programs, operations and missions.
RH reporter Tina Nolasco received the recognition on behalf of the station.
Other stakeholders and partner organizations were also honored for their contributions and support to the PCG.
Celebrating 125 years of service under the theme “One Sea, One Mission, One Legacy,” the PCG reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the Filipino people, safeguarding the country’s maritime interests and serving Philippine waters.
The agency said it continues to work with government agencies, coastal communities and international partners through its Organized National Engagement (ONE) at Sea initiative and Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement (iCARE) program.
These initiatives aim to promote maritime safety, protect the marine environment and ensure safer and more secure waters for all.
