In a statement posted online, Marcos said, “We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of our fellow Filipino who perished in the missile attack… a tragedy no one should ever have to endure.”

He confirmed that government agencies have been directed to provide full support to the family, including the immediate repatriation of the victim’s remains.
The Philippine Embassy in Israel has been placed on standby to assist the bereaved family and monitor the situation on the ground.
“The safety of every Filipino remains our top priority,” the president emphasized.
The incident comes amid heightened hostilities in the Middle East, where ongoing exchanges of attacks have raised concerns over the safety of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
Philippine authorities continue to assess conditions in affected areas and are prepared to extend further assistance as needed.
Marcos added that the nation stands in solidarity with the victim’s family, expressing hope they “find strength and comfort in this time of grief.”
