President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is set to personally welcome returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, as part of the government’s annual Pamaskong Salubong at the airport.
The President will lead the Christmas welcome for the country’s “modern-day heroes” at NAIA Terminal 3, highlighting the administration’s recognition of the vital role OFWs play in the economy through remittances and skills contribution.
The Pamaskong Salubong is a yearly government initiative aimed at expressing gratitude to OFWs who choose to spend the holidays with their families in the Philippines.
In previous years, selected OFWs received salubong bags from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and partner agencies, along with Christmas gift baskets and financial assistance. Government agencies are also expected to provide on-site assistance desks to help returning workers with reintegration services, welfare concerns, and travel needs.
The activity forms part of President Marcos’ official engagements at NAIA Terminal 3, where he is also scheduled to inspect newly upgraded airport facilities as part of ongoing efforts to improve passenger experience and airport operations.
