President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is set to depart for South Korea at noon today to participate in the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Gyeongju.

According to RH Leth Narciso, the President’s four-day working visit is expected to be packed with engagements, including the APEC Leaders’ Meeting, Leaders’ Dialogue, and participation in the APEC Business Advisory Council and CEO Summit.

Aside from the main events, Marcos is scheduled to hold a series of sideline meetings with top business leaders and executives to promote trade and investment opportunities in the Philippines.

The President will also meet with the Filipino community in South Korea, where approximately 70,000 Filipinos reside—around 42,000 of whom are overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) employed in the entertainment, fishing, and household service sectors, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

The President is expected to return to the Philippines on November 2.
