President Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr. on Saturday personally inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of the Navotas Fish Port Complex (NFPC), one of the country's largest fish landing and trading hubs, as part of the administration's efforts to modernize fisheries infrastructure and ensure a stable supply of seafood nationwide.

During the inspection, the president assessed the port's operations and the progress of its rehabilitation to ensure its facilities can meet the growing demands of the country's fishing industry.

He added that a more modern and efficient fish port would make operations safer and more productive, improve the livelihoods of fishermen, traders, and others who depend on the fishing industry, and help ensure the continuous supply of high-quality seafood for Filipino consumers.

The inspection forms part of the government's broader initiative to upgrade public infrastructure supporting the fisheries sector while strengthening food security and sustaining the country's seafood supply chain.
