President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said on Wednesday that he hopes the succeeding administration will continue to pursue the projects he has established.

In a podcast interview, Marcos said it is crucial that the Filipino people choose a next president who will govern well, so that the reforms he implements will not be discontinued following the end of his term.

He disclosed that he consults his advisers daily to find effective solutions to challenges currently affecting the country. He added that if the people choose well, the chances of longer-lasting and better change would increase, according to RH 14 Leth Narciso.

“Every day, we spend hours with my advisers thinking, ‘Think out of the box, stop thinking the same old way, it doesn’t work anymore.’ My hope and that the reason the structural change is important is because kahit wala na ako rito, sana ‘yung mga pagbabagong nasimulan namin o na tumatakbo na, matuloy-tuloy na para hindi na matanggal. Do it in such a way that it will continue, it will even get better, especially if we choose our presidents well,” said the President.

On Tuesday, Marcos instructed Congress to prioritize the passage of the Anti-Dynasty Bill, Independent People’s Commission Bill, Party-list System Reform Bill, and the Citizens’ Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability (CADENA) Bill.
