President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. joined the commemoration of the 109th birth anniversary of his father, former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., in Ilocos Norte on Friday, September 11, 2026.

Earlier in the day, Marcos Jr. also paid tribute to his father in a social media post, recalling the life lessons he learned from the former president.

“My father from whom I learnt the most important lessons of life. Who taught me to value Duty, Honour and Country. To live for others and not oneself,” the President said.

“Happy Birthday Dad,” he added.
