The San Miguel Beermen stamped its authority in the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals, dismantling Barangay Ginebra, 101-88, on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to advance to an all-Filipino finals showdown against TNT Tropang 5g.

The Beermen were unstoppable from the opening tip, led by a sensational CJ Perez who erupted for a new career-high 41 points.

Perez’s scorching start set the tone, outscoring the entire Ginebra roster, 30-25, in the first quarter alone. His early barrage included flawless shooting from inside, beyond the arc, and the free-throw line, marking one of the most explosive quarter performances in recent PBA history and drawing comparisons to legends of the game.

Perez’s heroics carried San Miguel through the opening half, but when he found himself in foul trouble in the third quarter, Don Trollano stepped up with clutch scoring and defensive stops, ensuring the Beermen maintained control.

By the fourth quarter, San Miguel had built an insurmountable lead, cruising to a four-games-to-two series victory over the Gin Kings.

TNT awaits in the finals for a rematch of last season’s Philippine Cup championship, promising another high-stakes “Last Dance” showdown.
