The local government unit (LGU) of Pasig City on April 30 disbursed financial aid to 18 families affected in separate fires in Barangay Rosario, Barangay Manggahan, and Barangay Ugong, it said in a statement on Sunday.

After validation by the City Social Welfare and Development Office, homeowners, tenants, and residents whose houses were partially destroyed in the fire were identified as beneficiaries.

Acting Mayor Vice Mayor Dodot Jaworski Jr. led the distribution of cash aid and personally asked after the fire victims’ wellbeing.

“Ang tulong pinansyal ay ibinigay sa ilalim ng Pasig City Ordinance No. 11, s. 2025 para sa mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo, at ang halagang natanggap ng bawat pamilya ay nakabatay sa uri ng kanilang paninirahan,” the city’s public information office said.

The local government assured continued coordination among its offices to ensure the smooth processing and disbursement of aid for residents affected by fires.
