Pasay City Police Chief Police Colonel Joselito M. De Sesto confirmed that he was inside a white police mobile seen exiting the Senate premises at around 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, following a shooting incident on May 13.

However, De Sesto clarified that they were not part of any convoy or escort operation and had no connection to a black van that was seen leaving the area at the same time as their vehicle.

According to De Sesto, the white police mobile was deployed as part of a separate police operation and was not assigned to escort or monitor any individual.

He said their exit from the Senate compound was routine and unrelated to any vehicle movement they may have coincidentally shared at the gate.

He added that it was coincidental that a black van also exited the Senate at the same time as their police mobile. De Sesto said they had no information on the identity of the van’s occupants and emphasized that there was no interaction, coordination, or operational link between their team and the said vehicle.

After leaving the Senate, De Sesto said their police mobile proceeded in a different direction toward the World Trade Center before returning to the Pasay City Police Station as part of standard operational movement.

Meanwhile, Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano confirmed on Thursday that Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa had left the Senate premises following a shooting incident on Wednesday night, citing information relayed through the senator’s wife.
