Several city governments in Metro Manila have issued advisories reminding residents of the dangers of poor air quality caused by the ongoing fire at the Navotas landfill.
Thick smoke blanketed Manila and Pasay City on Sunday evening, raising concern among residents.
In response, the local governments of Pasay and Manila released advisories urging the public to wear face masks.
The Navotas landfill has been burning for about 17 days, with the fire reported to have started on April 10.
