Private vehicles may temporarily use a section of the EDSA Busway starting Monday, November 2, to give way to road resurfacing works under the EDSA Rehabilitation Phase 2 Project, Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said.
According to Dizon, the temporary arrangement covers the stretch from Nepa Q Mart to Boni Avenue, where the inner lane will undergo asphalt paving over the next two weeks.
He said private motorists will be allowed to use the affected section until the roadworks are completed, after which the busway will return to normal operations.
Hanggang sa panahon na maibabalik natin sa normal matapos na tayo rito,” Dizon said during a joint inspection with Public Works Secretary Banoy Lopez.
Dizon said the temporary arrangement would remain in place until the roadworks are completed, after which the EDSA Busway would return to its normal operations.
The affected section was opened to private motorists at 5 a.m. on Monday.
The temporary opening is part of the government's ongoing EDSA rehabilitation efforts aimed at improving road conditions along the major thoroughfare.
