The administration of Parañaque National High School–Main said it is reviewing a viral incident allegedly involving one of its teachers and a student, as it gathers necessary information.
In a statement released online, the school said its administration has begun an internal review and is ensuring that all relevant details are being collected.
“Binibigyang-diin ng paaralang Parañaque National High School - Main ang aming buong-pusong pakikiisa sa [pagsugpo ng anumang uri ng karahasan sa loob at labas ng atin paaralan,” the statement said as released Sunday, June 21.
The school assured students, parents, faculty, and other stakeholders that the investigation will be conducted fairly.
An official statement will be issued once the review process is completed, the administration added.
The school also urged the public to refrain from sharing unverified information while the investigation is ongoing.
It did not specify the nature of the alleged incident involving the teacher and student.
On Monday, June 22, hundreds of students staged a protest at the school’s gate along Dr. Arcadio Santos Avenue.
The Schools Division Office of Parañaque City has also launched a separate investigation into the allegations.
School authorities said administrative and legal measures are being undertaken in line with Department of Education policies and child protection protocols.
The issue follows a video circulating on social media purportedly showing a student and a male teacher engaged in alleged misconduct inside a classroom.
