The province of Pangasinan has been placed under State of Calamity, announced the local government on Monday.

Under Provincial Council Resolution No. 985-2026, the declaration aims to expedite the provincial government’s response to its constituent towns’ needs, such as disaster relief, recovery assistance, and other necessary interventions.

The provincial government of Pangasinan continues to coordinate with local government units (LGUs) and other key agencies to ensure that concerns are immediately addressed and the welfare of every Pangasinense is taken care of.

Under the directive of Governor Ramon Guico III, the provincial government provided relief assistance to families seeking refuge in evacuation centers in the municipality of Agno and Alaminos City on Monday afternoon.

The government handed out hygiene and sleeping kits, family tents, family food packs, and ready-to-eat food boxes, and provided medical assistance to evacuees in need of medical attention.
