Malacañang on Tuesday called on critics and detractors of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. to refrain from politicking and instead work with the administration to help improve the lives of Filipinos as the country observes Holy Week.
In a press conference, Palace Press Officer Usec. Claire Castro emphasized the importance of unity in advancing national development and uplifting the welfare of citizens.
She said that rather than engaging in criticism or spreading negative remarks, critics should cooperate with the government for the country’s progress.
The PCO official also criticized what she described as “bashers” motivated by personal interests aimed at undermining the government, noting that such actions are not appropriate given the current challenges facing the country.
Castro made the remarks when asked about her message to critics of the Marcos administration, including former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque and Vice President Sara Duterte.
When asked whether she would include her critics in her prayers during the observance of Holy Week, Castro says, “Lahat po, lahat ng makasalanan.
