President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. remains focused on his duties as chief executive and is not affected by changes in his survey ratings, Malacañang said on Wednesday.

During a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro said Marcos continues to prioritize governance and the delivery of government services regardless of whether public satisfaction ratings increase or decline.

“Ang Pangulo ay hindi po apektado ng numero,” Castro said during the Malacañang press briefing on Wednesday, July 15.

“Tumaas ’yan, bumaba ’yan. Ang focus ng Pangulo ay magtrabaho. Kung ano ang kailangang maipaabot sa ating kababayan, ’yon po ang gagawin ng ating Pangulo at ng administrasyon na ito. Tuloy-tuloy lang po ang pagtatrabaho, hindi bakasyon,” she added.

Castro emphasized that survey figures would not affect Marcos’ commitment to fulfill his responsibilities as the country’s leader.

Her remarks came after the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed an increase in Marcos’ satisfaction rating to 38% in June from 33% in March.

Meanwhile, the President’s net satisfaction rating also improved to -7 during the second quarter of 2026.

She also clarified that the President does not disregard survey findings, but his administration’s priority remains implementing programs and providing services to the public.

“In the first place, hindi naman po siya tatakbo bilang pangulo sa susunod,” Castro said.
