The Palace confirmed on Tuesday that it had granted Vice President Sara Duterte travel authority from July 16 to 31, according to a report by RH 14 Leth Narciso.

In a statement, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) announced that Duterte had left for an overseas trip.

The OVP disclosed that she will be going to Qatar, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.

After a stop in Qatar, Duterte will join a forum and a Filipino community (FilCom) event in the UK, and the same in the Netherlands.

“These activities are intended to engage with overseas Filipinos and advance the Philippines’ interests abroad,” the statement read.

The itinerary for the trip includes official matters and personal engagements, the OVP said. Furthermore, it clarified that no government funds will be used for the entire duration of the trip.

The OVP affirmed its continued preparedness for disaster response in case of emergencies. Its programs and projects will continue to be carried out through its ten satellite offices nationwide.

He is the prosecution’s last witness before the court proceeds with tackling Article II, which concerns Vice President Duterte’s alleged unexplained wealth.
