The Palace on Wednesday denied reports of Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Henry Aguda’s resignation, clarifying that the latter will remain in his post.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said she personally spoke to Aguda, who refuted claims that he had stepped down from his position, reported RH 14 Leth Narciso.

In a statement, Aguda said that while he is aware of rumors regarding his alleged resignation, he said he remains focused on his work as Technology Department head, especially with the anticipated Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.

While he is aware of talks surrounding his supposed plans to step down from office, Aguda said he remains focused on his work, especially with the upcoming Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit on AI-Powered Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (AI MSMEs) this week.

“At this time, I remain focused on carrying out my responsibilities and ensuring the continuity of the Department’s work,” the Technology Secretary said.
