The Philippine Airlines on Wednesday said that it has acquired sufficient jet fuel supply for its scheduled operations, which includes long-haul flights, for the foreseeable future.
“The airline recognizes that global supply conditions remain dynamic. As part of prudent planning, PAL continues to work closely with fuel suppliers, industry partners, and government stakeholders to ensure stable and efficient operations over the longer term,” it said in an advisory.
The airline said it continues to monitor global and regional developments affecting fuel supply and pricing, and serving their communities.
On March 24, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said that grounding flights due to fuel shortage is a “distinct possibility,” according to Reuters.
