Tropical Depression Ada has slightly weakened and is now downgraded from a storm to a tropical depression, with no tropical cyclone wind signal currently raised over any part of the country, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
As of 5 AM, Ada was last located 385 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora. It has maximum sustained winds of up to 55 kilometers per hour and gusts reaching 70 kilometers per hour, and is moving north-northeastward at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour.
Despite its weakening, the trough or extension of Tropical Depression Ada is expected to bring scattered rains over the Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, and Northern Samar.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or ‘amihan’` will cause cloudy skies with light rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country are forecast to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with possible isolated light rains, isolated rain showers, or localized thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon and evening.
PAGASA also reported that no gale warning is currently in effect over any of the country’s seaboards.
