Over P1 million worth of suspected dried marijuana leaves were seized, while an alleged drug dealer was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Davao City.
The operation was conducted at around 12:17 a.m. on September 7 in San Vicente Village, Barangay Talomo, Davao City, in a Jhun Suter's report on Magandang Umaga Pilipinas.
Authorities recovered approximately 8,400 grams, or 8.4 kilograms, of suspected dried marijuana leaves with an estimated street value of P1,008,000.
The operation was led by the City Drug Enforcement Unit Special Operations Group in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 11. Other police units from the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 11 also took part in the operation.
The suspect is currently under police custody and is facing charges for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
