The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) on Wednesday issued a safety advisory warning Filipinos in Israel about anticipated large-scale rocket barrages by the militant group Hezbollah.

The administration advised Filipinos to move to areas nearby “mamad” or shelters and to immediately enter the facility the instance an emergency alert is released.

Individuals in Northern Israel, OWWA cautioned, only have 90 seconds or three minutes to take refuge in the bomb shelters, should the missiles come from Lebanon.

Filipino domestic workers were urged to prepare for the swift evacuation of their wards.

“The IDF has detected expanded preparations by Hezbollah to launch rocket barrages towards Israel in the coming hours,” the Israel Defense Forces said.

The Israeli military assured that they are working to thwart Hezbollah’s activities and that their aerial defense array and soldiers stationed at the border are alert and prepared for both defense and offense.
