The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) advised all Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the Middle East to remain vigilant and heed advisories issued by the Philippine Embassy and local authorities concerning the present situation in the region.
In a post shared by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the OWWA, Migrant Workers Office (MWO), and Philippine Embassies are continually working closely to ensure the safety and immediate support for Filipinos in the affected areas.
The agency reminded OFWs to follow only official announcements issued by the Philippines and their host government, know the location of the nearest evacuation site or shelter, avoid dangerous spots, and maintain open communication with family members and authorities.
For immediate assistance, one can contact the hotline numbers provided by each embassy and by the MWO/OWWA.
