Authorities seized around P20.4 million worth of suspected shabu from a businesswoman during a buy-bust operation on Saturday afternoon, July 5.
Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 7, in coordination with the PNP Drug Enforcement Group 7 and Naval Forces Central, conducted the operation along R. Rabaya Street in Barangay Cansojong at around 2:55 p.m.
The suspect, identified only as alias "Ann", 36, owns a flower shop and resides in the same barangay.
Seized during the operation were approximately 3 kilos of suspected shabu, buy-bust money, two smartphones, several IDs, ATM cards, and transaction notes.
The illegal drugs have been turned over to the PDEA 7 Regional Laboratory for chemical analysis and proper disposition.
Authorities will file charges against the suspect for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
