More than 3,400 tricycle drivers in Manila will receive fuel subsidies from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to help ease the impact of the continuing rise in fuel prices, as reported by RH Boy Gonzales.

According to Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW) Director Jay Reyes Dela Fuente, the financial assistance will be distributed on March 17, 2026 to a total of 3,463 beneficiaries across several venues in the city.

At the Patricia Paraiso Sports Complex, around 352 beneficiaries from Districts 1 and 2 will receive a combined subsidy amounting to ₱1.76 million.

Meanwhile, 937 beneficiaries from District 3 will receive ₱4.685 million worth of assistance at the Barangay 377 Covered Court.

Another 1,073 beneficiaries from District 5 and Baseco are set to receive ₱5.365 million in fuel subsidy at the Dakota Covered Court.

At the ASAC Covered Court, about 1,101 beneficiaries from Districts 4 and 6 will receive ₱5.505 million in financial assistance.

In total, the government has allocated ₱17.315 million for the first batch of fuel subsidy assistance.

Dela Fuente said the program aims to support drivers and operators of public transport vehicles who continue to be affected by the rising cost of petroleum products.
