

Authorities in Bulacan have reported the evacuation of 239 families due to dam spilling operations at Angat Dam and the resulting water release from Ipo Dam.
According to Cong. Ador Pleyto of Bulacan’s 6th District, the directly affected areas include Sta. Cruz with 36 families and San Roque with 55 families.
Meanwhile, pre-emptive evacuations were conducted in Sto. Cristo (41 families), Niugan (13 families), Laog (79 families), and Marungko (15 families).
At Ipo Elementary School, 86 families, totaling 322 individuals, have been temporarily sheltered.
Dam Spilling Operations:

Angat Dam: Elevation at 210.37 meters. Three gates opened at 1 meter each, discharging a total of 450 cubic meters per second (cms).

Ipo Dam (responding to Angat’s spilling): Elevation at 100.95 meters. Two gates opened at 1 meter each and one gate at 1.5 meters, releasing a total of 497.5 cms.

The released water is expected to flow from the aforementioned areas toward Manila Bay. Authorities remind the public to remain alert as the dam releases continue.
