

Over 1,000 passengers were affected by diverted flights on Monday, August 17, due to inclement weather conditions, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
As of 5:00 p.m., RH 15 Jecelle Ricafort reported that 13 additional flights were affected by persistent rainfall.
Eight flights were diverted, including a flight from Vancouver, Canada, bound for Manila, another travelling from Dubai to Manila, and a flight from San Francisco, USA, to Manila.
Local flights were also diverted, such as a Philippine Airlines flight from Bacolod to Manila.
A number of bus trips were also cancelled at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) due to flooding.
Trips to Clark Airport, Pampanga were temporarily cancelled at 4:30 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m. Trips may resume if the severe weather conditions subside and the floodwaters recede.
