More than 17,000 residents in Eastern Visayas received ₱2,000 each under the government’s UPLIFT Program during its regional rollout on Monday, July 20, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said.

According to Regional Director Grace Subong, a total of 17,219 beneficiaries were assisted as part of over ₱86 million allocated for the region.
