More than 1.2 million devotees joined the annual Fluvial Procession of Our Lady of Peñafrancia and El Divino Rostro in Naga City, according to the Incident Management Team.

In a report by DZRH's Ruel Saldico, The procession began at around 6:30 p.m. from the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral and proceeded toward Danlugan, where the traditional fluvial procession along the Naga River was held.

The start of the river procession was delayed due to the low water level of the Naga River. It eventually began at around 10 p.m., as devotees continued to gather along the procession route to witness the annual religious tradition.

Meanwhile, the Police Regional Office Bicol said the activity remained generally peaceful as authorities closely monitored the event to ensure the safety and security of the thousands of devotees who participated.

The Peñafrancia Fluvial Procession is one of the major religious activities of the annual Peñafrancia Festival, drawing large crowds of devotees to Naga City.
