A total of 10,129 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), their dependents, and stranded Filipinos have safely returned to the country from the Middle East, as the Philippine government continues its coordinated repatriation and assistance efforts amid regional tensions.

Based on the latest data as of May 24, 2026, the repatriates include 7,988 OFWs, 1,779 dependents, and 362 stranded Filipinos, according to the Department of Migrant Workers Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Philippine embassies, and consulates in the Middle East.

Authorities said the repatriation is part of a whole-of-government response ordered to ensure the safety, orderly return, and immediate support for Filipinos affected by tensions in the region.

In addition to repatriation, 34,188 OFWs and other affected Filipinos have received financial assistance and emergency aid, as part of government support programs directed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Onsite assistance has also been provided to thousands of returnees and affected workers, including 23,345 food aid packages, 7,697 transportation assistance, 2,491 shelter support services, and 2,427 medical assistance.

In total, 70,148 onsite services have been delivered to OFWs and their families, covering various forms of welfare and emergency support.

The government, through the Department of Migrant Workers and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, said it is continuing to strengthen reintegration programs to help returning Filipinos rebuild their livelihoods and adjust after their repatriation.
