TV host Robi Domingo and his wife, Maiqui Pineda, welcomed their first child, officially becoming parents.
The couple proudly introduced their newborn in a joint Instagram post on Monday, June 1.
“Our newest housemate,” the caption read, served as a playful nod to the reality competition series "Pinoy Big Brother," where Domingo first rose to fame as a housemate before eventually becoming one of the show’s hosts.
Domingo shared their first video as a family of three, with Pineda still in a hospital bed while holding their baby boy.
“Hi guys. Welcome to the outside world,” Domingo said.
The couple first announced they were expecting on January 6, nearly two years after they tied the knot in 2023.
In the months that followed, Domingo regularly shared updates on Pineda’s pregnancy journey with fans. In April, they revealed that they were expecting a baby boy.
The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from several personalities in the entertainment industry, including Gary Valenciano, Lea Salonga, Maja Salvador, Kim Chiu, and Gabbi Garcia, who all sent their well-wishes online.
Pineda had previously been open about her health journey before pregnancy. She was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune condition that causes muscle weakness, inflammation, and skin rashes.
