Tropical Storm Opong has passed over Sibuyan and Tablas Islands in Romblon and is now moving toward the southern part of Mindoro Island and the West Philippine Sea, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

As of 11:00 AM, the Opong's center was last spotted in the coastal waters of Ferrol, Romblon, with maximum sustained winds of 110 kmh near the center and gusts reaching up to 150 kmh. It continues to move westward at a speed of 35 kmh.

The weather bureau said the Opong will keep moving west to northwest and may make another landfall in the southern part of Occidental Mindoro.

The storm is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow afternoon, September 27.
