A Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from November 24–30, 2025, found that only 46% of adult Filipinos describe themselves as very happy with their love life, the lowest level recorded since the survey began in 2004.
Forty percent said their love life “could be happier,” while 14% reported having no love life. Compared to 2024, the shared feeling they could be happier rose by four points, while those without a love life fell by four points.
Happiness varies by gender and marital status. Among women, married respondents were the happiest at 57%, followed by those with live-in partners at 45%, and women with no partner at 22%.
For men, married respondents again reported the highest happiness at 55%, followed by men with live-in partners at 50%, and men without partners at 28%.
The nationwide survey interviewed 1,200 adults across Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Respondents were evenly split by gender and urban-rural residence, with ages ranging from 18 to over 55. SWS conducted the survey independently and asked participants to describe their love life as “Very happy,” “Could be happier,” or “No love life.”
