An investigation into the possible connection between the Discayas and CLTG Builders, a company owned by the family of Senator Bong Go, is set to begin today, according to Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon.
"We are looking at connections between the Discayas and CLTG Corporation. 'Yun ang usapan namin ni Ombudsman kagabi," Dizon told media.
The confirmation came after Dizon’s meeting with the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) in Taguig City.
According to Dizon, Ombudsman Boying Remulla himself ordered the investigation following the withdrawal of Curlee and Sarah Discaya from the ICI probe.
Dizon added that the Discayas had admitted during a Senate hearing that their business grew significantly beginning in 2016. He said the ICI and DPWH will thoroughly review the couple’s contracts under the previous administration.
The DPWH Secretary emphasized that no one will be spared in the investigation and that everyone found accountable will face consequences.
