The Office of the Ombudsman has ordered Cebu City Mayor Nestor Dionson Archival Sr. to pay a fine equivalent to one month of his salary after finding him guilty of simple neglect of duty over lapses in the operation of the 2025 Colon Street Night Market.

In its 21-page decision released Wednesday, October 28, the Ombudsman found that Archival failed to exercise due diligence by not coordinating with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and by issuing a permit for the use of Colon National Road retroactively.
