Twenty-five overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are eager to return to their home country on Tuesday, April 21, under the government’s repatriation program, said the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

The OFWs—14 from Israel and 11 from Lebanon—decided to avail of the program amid the conflicts in the Middle East. Prior to boarding their flight, they underwent a pre-repatriation briefing and received financial assistance and transport services.

The repatriation program was made possible through the collaboration of the DMW with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and the Philippine Embassies and Migrant Workers Offices in Israel and Lebanon.

On Sunday, 14 Filipinos from Dubai made their homecoming aboard an Emirates Airlines commercial flight that touched down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Pasay City at around 10:00 p.m.
