The National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) has approved wage increases for workers in Western Visayas and SOCCSKSARGEN, according to Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino.

Tolentino said workers in SOCCSKSARGEN, or Region 12, will receive a monthly wage increase of ₱1,352.

Domestic workers, meanwhile, will receive an additional ₱450 in monthly wages, effective Nov. 19.

In Western Visayas, or Region 6, the NWPC approved a ₱45 increase in the minimum daily wage for non-agricultural workers, bringing their daily pay to ₱590.

The wage adjustment covers Iloilo, Guimaras, Aklan, Capiz and Negros Occidental, which remains temporarily under Region 6 despite the establishment of the Negros Island Region.
