The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that the implementation of the expanded number coding scheme will be suspended on Friday, March 20, 2026, in observance of Eid’l Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the MMDA, the suspension coincides with the declaration of Eid’l Fitr as a regular holiday. The agency emphasized that the number coding scheme is automatically lifted during official and special non-working holidays.
Motorists are advised to take advantage of the suspension but are also urged to plan their long weekend activities carefully to avoid inconvenience.
The MMDA likewise reminded the public to remain cautious while driving and to observe traffic rules to ensure road safety during the holiday period.
